I haven't been here in awhile to blog; sometimes life just takes over, RL and SL! I went to an "Under The Sea Enchantment" party last night and if someone tells me it's mermaid theme, I'm there! If I had my choice of any mythical creature, I would be a mermaid, no questions asked. Sebastian had it right, the world up there is a mess and life is better, under the water!
I have a number of mermaid outfits and different looks, but this one here is probably my favorite. I'm going to focus on the shell crown, the hair, the top and a little about the tail, so let's dig into it!
The crown and top are from .Safira. and they're just gorgeous. The headband can be easily re-sized and comes with a color HUD with 5 coral colors and 2 seashell colors. It's not rigged so you can move and angle however you wish to work with whatever hair you decide to use. The details are amazing and I just love the look. The top is a set, with a bra, pantie and skirt and rigged for Legacy/Perky, Maitreya, Reborn, Hourglass and Freya. There are two color HUDs for each piece, one with older colors and one with newer colors. They both have two metal options for the detail, chains and circles; the older version has 5 gem colors and 6 bra/pantie/skirt colors. The newer version has 36 color options for both the clothing and the gems, giving you so many options to make this outfit look just how you want it. The rigging is perfect and I just love the whole thing, even though I only wore the bra for this picture.
The hair is called Alori by Doux and gives that perfect wet look! It comes in 3 sizes of L, M and S with each of those sizes having a regular, Boobs+ and Boobs- size. The HUD for the colors is the normal HUDs for Doux, but I always buy the large pack because I change my hair color too much. The style HUD has 4 hair options of all forward, all back and forward on each shoulder. You see can see the wet detail on the hair and droplets of water, making it just perfect!
The tail is from Ali & Ego, the Riptide Mermaid tail. It's rigged for Athletic, Jake, Legacy M/F, Maitreya and Reborn. It comes with alpha layers, an optional leg deformer and color HUD. You can change the scales and fins to 44 color options and there are hundreds of 3rd party texture packs you can buy as well. It's one of the best mermaid tails out there, in my opinion, with a swim AO built in and so many different options on looks. Mermaid tails are always a bit of an investment, but if you're wanting an amazing look, this is definitely one to check out!
Maybe in my next lifetime I'll be a mermaid... but until then, this is the closest I get to be to living that mermaid life!
